Toshiba Mini Giant Chip Capacity


Japanese technology giant Toshiba released a chip with a capacity large enough, ie 128 Gigabyte. This chip can be used to smartphones, tablet PCs and video cameras.

Chip with the highest capacity ever is equipped with NAND flash memory. Although the memory burden that will bear very large, these chips have very small size, which is only 17 x 22 x 1.4 milli meters.

"Demand for large-capacity chip that supports high resolution video applications is overwhelming," Toshiba said as quoted from the AFP on Friday (18/06/2010).

Examples of these chips will soon be available in September and was thrown into the market in the fourth quarter of this year. In addition to making chips with a capacity of 128 Gigabyte, Toshiba also plans to launch the variation of the chip with a capacity of 64 Gigabyte.
