Toshiba Libretto w100 launched


Toshiba Libretto w100 launched, a mini-notebook that has two screens that can be used like an ordinary laptop and e-book.

The new new gadgets on display last Monday could be used as a conventional notebook PC, or rotated 90 degrees for use as an e-book reader. Notebook that will compete with Apple iPad and the Amazon Kindle is released into the Japanese market starting in late August and then extends to parts of Europe and the United States.

Libertto w100 which also has a touch screen will price dibanderol 120 thousand yen in Japan or about U.S. $ 1,320.

"This product has more value because it can combine two functions in one gadget," said CEO of Toshiba's digital products, Masahiko Fukakushi.

Toshiba is the fourth largest manufacturer of notebook PC world after HP, Acer and Dell. Sakura domestic companies are targeting the home PC sales amounted to 25 million units by March 2011.
